Zach and I visited family in Kansas City for the holidays. Before flying there, we toured Georgetown on Christmas day. We learned about the history and the famous political families that lived in this quaint part of Washington, D.C.
In Kansas City, Zach and I walked with his mom, Beth, on the Trolley Trail of Kansas City, MO. On one of the bridges, Zach stopped to teach his mom swing dance moves. They practiced the basic step and fun moves like spins and hammerlocks while the sun shined overhead. We then stopped at The Peanut of South Country Club Plaza and ate a cheesy pile of nachos while catching up.
We ate a delicious dinner on my dad’s birthday. My grandmothers, aunt, and sister were all present. The following day, we ate at a favorite sushi restaurant of ours in KC: Kyoto’s. It was wonderful to be with my family in Kansas City again.
